Street Sense Decision on Thursday

Churchill Downs announced today that Street Sense trainer Carl Nafzger will hold a press conference on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. regarding his decision on The Belmont Stakes.

I will be attending an 11:30 a.m. teleconference for remote journalists, where Nafzger will be on hand to answer questions. I will provide updates as they become available.

A video replay of the press conference, which will take place in the Churchill Downs Jockey Club Suites, will be available to review at http://www.twinspires.com/ and http://www.churchilldowns.com/ beginning at noon.

With this much fanfare and planning I can't imagine that the decision is anything other than "yes" for the Belmont. The only other things that such a press conference warrants is retirement and I very much doubt that is the case. Am I reading the tea leaves wrong?

As a side note: Street Sense is scheduled to work out over the Churchill track on Wednesday at 7 a.m.
